Sacabambaspis is Toto Miranda and Daniel Mee
Toto and Daniel, friends for many years, previously collaborated in the short-lived but colorful post-rock band Mister Smile. They began this new project in 2025 as a vehicle for exploring their shared interest in free improvisation that pits the physical against the intellectual by pairing acoustic drumming with abstract electronic sounds. Sacabambaspis is an extinct jawless armored fish from the Ordovician period.
